June has been a very busy month, for me personally and for Algerian Action.
Lots of things were donated which is just wonderful! every single item given makes a difference to somebody in need so it really is lovely to see so many people giving generously and making the lives of others that little bit easier. All types of things have been sent in, below is just a small sample.
We have also been collecting for our Eid Appeal. If you would like to contribute to this by donating sweets, balloons, small toys the items must be received in the UK by the 7th July at the very latest. Our last shipment before Eid will be on the 9th of July so really there is just about a week left to help.
Like last year we will also be providing food parcels to those in need for the month of Ramadan, we held an auction last weekend on Facebook to help fundraise for this so huge thanks to all of you who participated and made it such a worthwhile event.
We will be holding another one at the beginning of August to help us buy more wheelchairs for children in the Mustapha Pascha hospital in Algiers.The children’s cancer unit didn’t have any wheelchairs to transport the children from the ward to the chemotherapy treatment area so last month we bought them two but, we hope to get them another three.
