Algerian Action will be participating in this years ‘Big Draw’ event organised by the campaign for drawing. Their theme for 2012 is taken from painter Paul Klee who famously said that ‘drawing is taking a line for a walk’.
So with that in mind, on Saturday 6th October we are inviting YOU to come and take a line for a walk whilst exploring the many arts and crafts that Algeria has to offer. From pottery to lace to basket-weaving each region has it’s speciality and on the day we hope to give you a brief insight into Algeria’s brilliantly rich crafting heritage.
In addition to demonstrations for all, children will be able to try various activities including calligraphy , mosaic design and tile painting. There will also be a mini Souk made up of stalls selling a variety of hand-made goods. Furthermore, a delicious range of food will be on offer including some Algerian specialities.
We hope to see you there!
If you make or sell hand-made items and would like to have a stall at the event please email email@example.com for more details and a booking form- places are strictly limited so be quick!
We also need people to help out on the day so if you would be interested in volunteering please do get in touch.
And lastly but certainly not least, we need lots of gorgeous hand-crafted goodies to sell on our stall so if you would like to help our fundraising efforts in this way we would love to hear from you!
What better way to brush the Winter cobwebs away than by spending an afternoon relaxing, eating and shopping -and all in aid of charity!
Algerian Action will be holding a Spring Fair, its first fundraising event of 2011 on 6th March at The Asian Centre Waltham Forest.
There will be thirty stalls packed full of fashion, jewellery, pictures, toiletries, accessories and more. Products will be a mixture of hand-crafted and manufactured. There will also be beauty treatments, fun activities for the kids and delicious things to eat. The perfect way to relax with family and friends!

We will also be having a stall selling things so if you would like to knit, craft or donate something which could be sold that would be FANTASTIC!
