Sometimes I really wonder where the time goes. At the beginning of each month I have every intention to post a little round-up of the previous month but, May just seems to have flown by and we are now much nearer to the end than the beginning.
Anyway, as the saying goes ‘better late than never’ so here’s what happened in April-
As always people have been super generous with donating. So many fabulous things were sent in including clothing, toys, blankets and toiletries.
As Spring has now arrived so to have a lot more events that Algerian Action can have a fundraising stall at. In April I participated at a Ladies business event in Holborn and a Charity Bazaar in Ilford. I really enjoy attending these things as not only do they help raise much needed funds but they help in raising awareness of Algerian Action too.
Clothing continues to be shipped over to those in need on a monthly basis. The weather is really starting to warm up now so any donations of summer type clothing, especially t.shirts, shorts and hats would much appreciated.
As mentioned here we are trying to assist a family with raising funds for their little boy, Youcef to have essential medical treatment. We have planned to hold an online craft Auction which was due to take place on 25th May. Lots of things have already been donated including jewellery, blankets, bags, toys, key-rings ect but, the past few days so many people have been in touch to say that they were still making their Auction items (I guess ‘May’ has run away from everyone!) that I have decided to postpone the event for two weeks. It will now run from 8th -14th June giving everyone plenty of extra time to donate something wonderful!
As always thank you so much to everyone for your support and contributions, it is truly much appreciated!
